In 2018 I was blessed to have so many lovely clients here in Malta and I am so grateful to all of them for having an open mind, for being willing to try new things and for challenging me to explore even more methods and techniques!
It has very much been a year of learning and development and 2019 promises to be no different! I had the pleasure of travelling to England to learn and ride with Jenny Rolfe whom I have admired through her delightful books for years. I also went to visit the fabulous Sarah-Jane in Andalusia to improve my riding abilities and observe classic Spanish riding. Online, I took Qi Gong lessons and began a comprehensive Waterholes Rituals course from Carolyn Resnick and Nancy Zintsmaster. This year as many of you know, I will also be completing a long awaited apprenticeship with Linda Kohanov in Arizona. This apprenticeship will allow be to broaden my Equine Facilitated Learning services which is a key component to my approach to personal development and wellbeing!
To compliment my courses I am also working on developing my Veterinary Aromatherapy knowledge, I plan to work on an informative blog which will help educate people on how to use essential oils to support the healing and wellbeing of their horses and themselves. This is a very exciting project for me as I have always been drawn to natural remedies and healing. Of course, nothing can substitute for a fully qualified veterinarian, but I do believe there are several useful applications of essential oils that can support veterinary treatments or the emotional wellbeing of your horse.
2019 is also the year we begin project #findahome, although we have some ideas, we are still very much living a nomadic lifestyle but we are both ready to find a landing place where we can develop a beautiful space and herd. I am yearning to connect with my own horses again so I can better serve my clients with the experiences I know can be so life-changing. Thomas desires a project where he can implement his live off the grid ideas and grow a garden. So together we hope to finally find that special place to call home so that we can host all of you and support your journeys of growth and discovery!
I look forward to everything this next year has to offer, It’s sure to be full of leaning and challenges, already I have begun reading the books on my apprenticeship reading list and have found them to be thought provoking and enlightening. I hope to develop online coaching tools so I can stay connected to my clients here in Malta even after I leave so keep an eye out and make sure you keep in touch!
Wishing you and all your equine partners a year of growth, happiness and love!
